Grilled chicken marinated in fish sauce

This is a really simple marinade with a deep flavor base - wonderful for when you need something quick to throw on the grill. The leftover chicken can be used for salad or sandwiches.





Ingredients

  • 2 lbs chicken drumsticks
  • 1 tbsp ginger, grated
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 2 tbsp fish sauce
  • 1/2 tsp sugar
  • 1 green chilli, minced

Preparation

  1. Mix all the ingredients except the chicken to form the marinade. Add the chicken, and let it marinate for about 20 - 30 minutes.
  2. Heat a grill to medium. Grill the chicken pieces for about 10-15 minutes a side, till juices run clear. Serve hot.
